Moving to a new area, no matter where you are from, can be overwhelming. On top of the usual stresses, associated with re-locating, there is also the need to find out about your new community. The maze of information can be daunting and trying to find people who share your interests can be frustrating. Bendigo Newcomers was formed in June 2004 to welcome, encourage and support new residents who have moved into the Bendigo region.

Lead On Australia will facilitate and manage 20-30 young people becoming members of local community committees and boards - (business, community etc) and learning about community involvement and contribution, volunteerism and of course developing their own new skills and networks as a result. The associated outcome is also that 20 local community organisations or businesses will gain the experience of what our young people can offer and will expose these young people to the varied groups and organisations that make a community function and how to genuinely contribute to your community.
The program is called Community Door because it will open the door to the community to young people and set them on the path to community involvement.
cvYEP! (Central Victorian Young Entrepreneurs Program) is an innovative business planning, mentoring and training program for Young Entrepreneurs (Young Es) with businesses in the Central Victorian region.
